Delete your Mindship account

You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by email. Deletion can’t be undone, and it doesn’t cancel a subscription: Google Play or Apple bills it, so cancel it there first.

In the app

  1. Open Mindship and go to Profile.
  2. Tap the gear icon at the top to open Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account, then Delete to confirm.

Your account and data are deleted right away, and you’re signed out.

By email

No longer have the app? Email support@mindship.me with the subject “Delete my account”, from the address you sign in with. We’ll delete that account and the data listed below, and reply within 30 days.

If you use Mindship without signing in, or signed in with Apple and hid your email, delete the account in the app: we can’t find it by your email address.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in: email address and Apple or Google login
  • Your profile: name, goals and reminder settings
  • Breathing tests, their results and recordings still being analyzed
  • Practice history, favorites, feedback and programs
  • Our records of your purchases, of the emails and notifications we sent you, and of the ad or link you installed the app from

We also ask our breath analysis service, RevenueCat (subscriptions) and Reteno (emails and push notifications) to delete what they hold about you.

What is kept

  • Store purchase records. Google Play and Apple keep their own records of your payments, for example for tax law. We can’t delete them.
  • Breathing recordings in which no one speaks. We may keep them, with no time limit, to improve breath analysis. Nothing links them to you — no account ID, email or test result — which is also why we can’t find them to delete.
  • Analytics and crash reports. PostHog, AppsFlyer and Firebase Crashlytics keep app usage events and crash reports, linked to a random account ID rather than your name or email, for their own retention periods.
  • Logs and statistics. Server logs that can include your account ID are deleted after 30 days. A record of the deletion (the account’s random ID and the date) and anonymous statistics are kept.
  • Backups can hold a copy for a limited time, until they are replaced.
